Ingredients
- 2 cups fine bulgur
- 1 large onion
- ½ cup olive oil
- 1.5 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon hot red pepper paste
- 8-10 green onions
- 1 tablespoon dried mint
- 4-5 sprigs fresh mint
- ½ bunch of parsley
- 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses or juice of 1 lemon
- Salt, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Pour 1 or 2 cups of hot water on bulgur in the bowl and close the cover. Let stand till bulgur is softened.
- Saute the onions with olive oil in the pan.
- Add tomato paste and hot red pepper paste. Stir and close the stove.
- When bulgur is ready, mix with onion mixture.
- Add finely chopped parsley, fresh mint and green onion.
- Add dried mint, salt, red pepper flakes, and pomegranate molasses and combine all of the ingredients.
- Serve with lettuce leaves.
